“What we see in the next decade or so is a lot of these alternative fuels that we’ve been hearing about and thinking about — whether it is natural gas, renewable diesel, renewable natural gas, and burning hydrogen in an engine, which is something that really came about since I was at your conference as a solution — we see these as the messy middle between now and when electrification really takes off. That middle won’t take quarters or a year, like we are used to in trucking, but rather decades,” Roeth explained.
