call for a halt in the sale of gasoline containing 15 percent ethanol has sparked debate. The American Petroleum Industry released a point-by-point of the Renewable Fuels Association’s about AAA’s position.
Last week, the National Council of Chain Restaurants called for a of the Renewable Fuels Standard and released a new, comprehensive on the effect of federal ethanol policies on the chain restaurant industry, commodity prices and the food supply chain.
Some in the renewable fuel industry said a RFS waiver wouldn’t the amount of ethanol in blends because refiners would have to seek alternative high octane blend stocks or significantly adjust refinery operations to make up for the volume and octane increase they currently receive from ethanol.
