Bob Wollenman, co-owner, and Nick Wollenman, assistant general manager, of , St. Joseph, Mo., hosted Republican Senator Roy Blunt Aug. 12 for a meeting with local officials and business owners.
Senator Blunt visited with 30 attendees including the Mayor and City Manager, Presiding County Commissioner as well as representatives from small and large business.
The group discussed important industry topics, including the recent patch to the Highway Trust Fund, Environmental Protection Agency regulations, and the recent ruling by the National Labor Relations Board that makes franchisors liable for franchisee labor practices.
During the meeting, Bob Wollenman encouraged Sen. Blunt to work with his peers to raise the federal motor fuels tax to increase infrastructure revenue.
