Legendary Entrepreneur and Fast Company Co-Founder Bill Taylor to Keynote The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow 2011

/

Fast Company cofounder, legendary entrepreneur and agenda-setting business writer Bill Taylor will keynote The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow 2011 at its Kick-Off Session Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Attendees also will be able to network and interact with Taylor at a Grand Opening Party immediately following his presentation.

Taylor, who chronicles his research, insights and lessons in the popular blog Harvard Business Online, has shaped the global conversation about the best ways to compete, innovate and succeed. His appearance at The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow will follow hot on the heels of the January 2011 launch of Taylor’s newest work, Practically Radical: Strategies to Transform Your Company, Shake Up Your Industry, and Challenge Yourself. The book is based on in-depth access to 25 organizations making deep-seated changes in today’s trying economic circumstances. These organizations are mastering a set of strategies and practices that define the work of leadership in turbulent times.

“Taylor is a business thought-leader in the truest sense of the phrase,“ said ºÚÁÏÉçÇøPresident and CEO Lisa Mullings. “We are thrilled to connect his transformational strategies and entrepreneurial spirit with truckstop and travel plaza leaders at The New ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow.”

As cofounder and founding editor of Fast Company, Taylor launched a magazine that earned a passionate following among executives and entrepreneurs around the world — and became a legendary business success. In less than six years, an enterprise that took shape in borrowed office space in Harvard Square sold for $340 million.

Practically Radical follows Taylor’s 2006 best seller, Mavericks at Work: Why the Most Original Minds in Business Win. Just weeks after its release, Mavericks became a New York Times Best Seller, a Wall Street Journal Business Best Seller and a BusinessWeek Best Seller.

Taylor is also an adjunct lecturer at Babson College, America’s top-rated school for entrepreneurship, where he created the “Maverick Seminar at Babson College” — a unique academic program in which MBA students interact with the ideas and innovators creating the future of business. He is the co-author of three other books on strategy, leadership, and innovation: The Big Boys: Power and Position in American BusinessNo-Excuses Management and Going Global.

Truckstop and travel plaza leaders interested in attending Taylor’s appearance at The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow 2011 can register online at .
