Minnesota Bill Seeks to Make Wireless Internet Available at Rest Areas
Minnesota state Senators Tony Lourey (D-8), Scott Dibble (D-60) and Ann Rest (D-45) have introduced a that seeks to make wireless internet service available at rest areas. If enacted, SF2054 would authorize the state commissioner of transportation to utilize private funding from public private partnerships and sponsorships to pay for the service. The bill has been referred to the state transportation committee.
