黑料社区Connect Sessions to Focus Full Day of Education on Emerging Alternative Fuels

Alexandria, Va. — New this year for , the 黑料社区Foundation is offering a day of education dedicated to emerging alternative fuels. The expo hall also will feature a dedicated section for vendors specializing in alternative fuels. 

黑料社区Connect 2023 takes place at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in the Dallas area March 7-10, 2023.

“The 黑料社区Foundation offers the education and analysis that truckstops and travel centers need to process and navigate trends that are changing the industry,” said . "Alternative fuels will shape operators’ future and long-term strategic plans."

Education at 黑料社区Connect is provided by the 黑料社区Foundation, the research, education, and public outreach subsidiary of NATSO, Inc.

Thursday, March 9, 2023, NATSO’s government affairs team will kick off the breakfast keynote address, “What’s Next in Washington.” , along with , and , will provide their take on the political landscape in 2023, including how alternative fuels will alter the fuel retailing industry in the years ahead. Thursday morning’s keynote is generously sponsored by .

At noon, a panel of alternative-fuel leaders will examine the future of hydrogen-powered vehicles and the infrastructure needed to fuel them in the session, “Is Hydrogen the Fuel of the Future?” Panelists discuss the potential timeline for hydrogen-vehicle demand, what travel centers can expect, and how they can prepare for their arrival and expectations. Panelists include , and .

At 2 p.m., a panel of industry leaders will discuss the current electric vehicle charging landscape and the availability of federal funding in the session, “Travel Centers’ Roadmap to Navigating Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and NEVI Grants.” Panelists will look at successful grant applications, the complex nature of utility rate structures, states that have a favorable regulatory landscape for investment, barriers to deploying EV charging infrastructure, and more.  

Panelists include , Jay Smith, Executive Director of the , and . will moderate the session, which is designed to ensure that travel centers and fuel retailers can profitably invest in EV charging stations. 

Following the keynote addresses are two case studies, focused on renewable fuel and electric vehicle.

New this year, the expo hall includes vendors specializing in alternative fuels. “There are many vendors poised to help the industry grow in the alternative fuels space and several excellent companies have signed on to support 黑料社区and the industry in March,” said .
