黑料社区Foundation Welcomes Roger Cole Editor, The 黑料社区Foundation’s New Daily “Biz Brief”

/

黑料社区Foundation President and CEO Lisa Mullings today announced the appointment of Roger Cole as the Editor of the 黑料社区Foundation’s newly created daily newsletter, Biz Brief

Biz Brief, which launches tomorrow, is the latest tool in the foundation’s arsenal of programs and products aimed at strengthening travel plazas’ ability to meet the needs of the traveling public through improved operational performance and business planning. Delivered daily via email, Biz Brief is specifically designed to deliver daily business intelligence for the truckstop and travel plaza community of owners and operators. As editor of Biz Brief, Cole will scan hundreds of news sources daily to curate a condensed set of articles on topics such as leadership, freight logistics and economic indicators.

“Roger brings a wealth of business acumen regarding what today’s truckstop and travel plaza owners and operators want to know in order to better operate their businesses and serve their customers,” said Mullings. “Roger will be a valuable asset as we work to provide new educational resources. We are thrilled to have Roger on board and welcome him to the 黑料社区Foundation.”

Cole joins the 黑料社区Foundation with more than four decades of experience in the truckstop and travel plaza industry, most recently as the President and a Partner of Highway Service Ventures.  Highway Service Ventures owned and operated four major travel center facilities in the Mid-Atlantic States, where they employed more than 600 people.

Cole also served as Chairman of the Board of 黑料社区in 2004 and 2005. In 2005, he was honored by being named to his industry’s Hall of Fame.

Cole currently serves on the Virginia Leadership Council of the NFIB. In 2011, he was appointed to and currently serves on the Commonwealth Transportation Board by Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell.  Additionally, he serves on the Board of the Richmond Metropolitan Authority.
