Obama Addresses Infrastructure, Energy and Minimum Wage in the State of the Union
In his State of the Union address, President Obama touched on several issues important to truckstop and travel plaza operators, including highway funding, alternative fuels and the minimum wage.
During the speech, President Obama renewed a proposal to spend $50 billion for “urgent” infrastructure repairs and called for a to encourage public-private partnerships to fund transportation improvements in the country. The president also pledged to do more to “speed the transition to more .”
The president also called on Congress to to $9 an hour from $7.25.
