Rep. Brindisi Visits New York Love鈥檚 Travel Stop
Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores and 黑料社区hosted Rep. Anthony Brindisi, (D-N.Y.), at its Binghamton, N.Y., location August 1 as part of a congressional site visit designed to discuss issues of importance to the travel plaza and truck stop community.
Issues discussed included the vital role that travel stops play in helping people and goods move throughout the country as well as the important role the industry plays in local communities, including providing access to healthy food options for beneficiaries of the USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
Love’s officials also called attention to the high interchange fees that travel stops must pay every time a customer swipes a credit or debit card as well as the need for Congress to extend the Biodiesel Tax Credit.
Rep. Brindisi visited with Love’s employees and toured the facility to learn more about how the fuel retailer operates.
Joining the Congressman were Love’s Manager of Government Affairs Tom Kirby; Divisional Director Tony Cribb; District Manager Pat Schappell; and General Manager Phil Horan.
Love’s commended Congressman Brindisi for visiting the Binghamton location and exhibiting a real understanding of how federal policy directly affects the daily operations of its business, employees and customers.
Based in Oklahoma City, Love’s has more than 490 locations in 41 states and employs more than 25,000 people.
