States Offer Tax Incentives to Encourage Alternative-Fuel Vehicles

Several state legislatures recently offered tax incentives aimed at boosting usage of cars and trucks that run on alternative fuels. The Indiana State Senate passed a bill offering tax incentives to Indiana companies running big-rig trucks on  as a means of encouraging the widespread adoption of natural gas usage around the state. Similarly, the Colorado House of Representatives voted to extend Colorado’s tax credit program for  until 2012.
