The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to establish additional 鈥渢raceability recordkeeping requirements鈥 for manufacturers, processors, and others for foods the Agency has designated for inclusion on the Food Traceability List. This will apply to retail food establishments and the proposal expressly includes convenience stores and non-grocery stores.

黑料社区joined a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Aug. 25 urging the agency to publish a list of electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) products for which it has received a premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) by the Sept. 9, 2020, deadline. Without a publicly available list, retailers 鈥 including travel centers 鈥 will not know which products are legal for them to sell.

The Food and Drug Administration on Jan. 15 issued a statement clarifying for retailers that as of Dec. 20, 2019, it is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21.

The Food and Drug Administration issued a proposal March 13 to restrict sales of flavored e-cigarettes and require that retailers establish adult-only areas or take other steps to limit access to flavored e-cigarettes to anyone under age 18. The move marks the latest in a string of aggressive steps targeting convenience stores and other smaller format retail establishments that sell tobacco and e-cigarette products, including truckstops, in recent weeks.
