The House Appropriations Committee on May 24 voted 34-17 to advance a fiscal 2019 transportation spending bill, after the committee voted down an amendment aimed at removing a number of trucking-related policy riders. The fiscal spending measure, which would provide $71.8 billion in discretionary funding for transportation and housing programs, now heads to the full House. It鈥檚 unclear when the Chamber will take up the legislation.

04-10-2017 by NATSO Congressional Leaders Call for Delay in Joint Employer Standard

A bipartisan group of nearly 60 members of the U.S. House of Representatives recently called on the House Appropriations Committee leaders to include language in the Fiscal Year 2018 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations bill that would delay the National Labor Relations Board鈥檚 (NLRB) new joint employer liability standard.
