The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) on August 24 granted a regional emergency declaration in response to Hurricane Laura and Tropical Storm Marco for Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The waiver is in effect through September 23, 2020.

Federal agencies have continued to waive fuel and trucking restrictions in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

黑料社区has been in close contact with EPA officials and has been aggressively pushing for fuel waivers to enable product to get to where it is needed. 黑料社区is also working with the Department of Homeland Security in pursuit of a Jones Act waiver to allow foreign-flagged vessels to carry cargo between U.S. ports. This would also help enable product to get to where it is needed.

Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida governors have declared states of emergencies in preparation for Tropical Storm Karen, expected to make landfall between southeastern Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle on Saturday night or Sunday morning.
