The Department of Labor on Jan. 12 promulgated its final rule on Joint Employer Status under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The 164-page final rule consolidates a four-factor balancing test introduced in the April 2019 proposed rule, and it will be published in the Federal Register on Thursday, Jan. 16.

Following the introduction of companion, bipartisan legislation in the U.S. House and Senate designed to alleviate a nationwide shortage of truck drivers, 黑料社区joined nearly 70 organizations in supporting the DRIVE-Safe Act, which would allow commercial drivers aged between 18 and 21 to engage in interstate trucking.

04-10-2017 by NATSO Congressional Leaders Call for Delay in Joint Employer Standard

A bipartisan group of nearly 60 members of the U.S. House of Representatives recently called on the House Appropriations Committee leaders to include language in the Fiscal Year 2018 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations bill that would delay the National Labor Relations Board鈥檚 (NLRB) new joint employer liability standard.
