Rex Davis, Owner of Davis Oil Co., reassigned employees across his business in order to prevent layoffs amid the downturns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. After temporarily shutting down the location’s Denny’s restaurant, Davis transitioned employees into his Wendy’s and Popeye’s quick-serve restaurants as well as the travel center. The company also offered bonuses to full-time and part-time employees along with paid time off. Speaking about his employees Davis said, “We鈥檙e glad to have them and glad to keep them.鈥�
