10-03-2014 by NATSO Dispenser Labels and Product Transfer Document Language Changes As ULSD Program Enters Final Phase

Fuel retailers are reminded that effective Oct. 1, only 15 parts per million diesel fuel is allowed for use in highway and non-road vehicles as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency鈥檚 ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) program enters its final phase. The final phase-in eliminates certain regulatory requirements for product transfer document language as well as dispenser labels for 500 ppm diesel fuel.

06-10-2013 by NATSO FERC Declines to Delay TEPPCO Halt of ULSD Shipments

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has declined to intervene in Enterprise TEPPCO’s decision to eliminate ULSD and jet fuel shipments in their pipeline effective July 1, 2013.

In addition to 黑料社区and four other petroleum marketing associations, a wide range of interests participated in the protest, including airlines, trucking companies, associations, terminal operators and agricultural cooperative. Members of Congress and the Arkansas Attorney General also weighed in with the commission.

06-03-2013 by NATSO EPA Proposes Adding Fuels Made From Landfill Biogas to Renewable Fuel Standard

A proposed U.S. EPA rule would greatly expand the number of advanced fuels that would be eligible to generate RINs. Responding to petitions from renewable fuel producers, EPA has proposed allowing renewable diesel, renewable naphtha, and renewable electricity (used in electric vehicles) produced from landfill gas to generate RINs under the federal renewable fuel standard. Also proposed to generate RINs are renewable compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas produced from landfill biogas. To be eligible, the landfill biogas must produce 60 percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions over its lifecycle as compared to gasoline.
