ºÚÁÏÉçÇøPresident and CEO Lisa Mullings said today that The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow 2013, scheduled to be held Feb. 2-6 in Savannah, Ga., will be the premier educational showcase for the truckstop and travel plaza industry.
With the guidance of The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow Advisory Council, a group of 10 travel plaza and truckstop operators, 18 educational opportunities have been crafted to help ºÚÁÏÉçÇømembers improve their business operations today and make innovative business decisions that will lead them into the future.
Among The ºÚÁÏÉçÇøShow 2013’s educational highlights sure to deliver actionable take-home ideas are:
- Energy Summit: Reduce Costs and Add Value with Energy Improvements
- Know Who Your Fuel Customers Are and Learn How to Keep Them
- Become a Shrink Management Master: Tools and Techniques for Immediate Impact
ºÚÁÏÉçÇøattendees also will hear directly from a variety of experts about the latest trends and forecasts, including fuel prices, freight trends, alternative fuel markets and profit center offerings.
Future-focused keynote speakers include noted experts Tom Kloza, chief oil analyst with Oil Price Information Service (OPIS); Bob Costello, chief economist for the American Trucking Associations, and Hank Suerth, chief executive officer of Orion Foods.
Additional sessions include a look at the future of natural gas in a breakout sponsored by Shell Lubricants and insight into the trends and priorities affecting truckstop and travel plaza customers. The National Petroleum Council will present publicly for the first time its findings from a two-year study on the future of alternative fuels, including natural gas, plug-in electric power, hydrogen, biodiesel, and gasoline and ethanol blends.
