Timeline Helps Small Businesses Plan for Health Insurance Changes

When the President signed the healthcare bill into law, the clock started to tick on a variety of changes. Whether it is new taxes or new mandated requirements on the insurance purchased in the small group and individual insurance markets, this  developed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses provides a quick glance at changes that have already occurred and changes that can be expected in coming years. 

As small businesses begin to consider the options of offering their employees health care or paying a penalty for not doing so, some are finding the penalty option to be less attractive than expected. While health insurance premiums are  for employers, the penalty is not.
