Turn Dead Space Into a Revenue Generator at Your Truckstop

Golden Husky Travel Centre in Golden, British, Columbia, sits within six national parks and just three hours outside of Calgary.

Its location makes it a major stop for bus passengers, travelers and truckers, but Denise Scott, trainer for Husky, noticed that a large number of people came in, walked down the hallway to the restroom and left without buying anything.

As a result, Scott decided to turn the hallway into a revenue generator and lined it with funny, innovative and motivational signs that are all for sale.

“The thing that brightens my day is they’re supposed to be driving down the road on vacation and they’re standing and laughing in my hallway,” Scott said, adding that sign sales have been strong. “I think you have to add some humor into your location.
