What is Needed for the Growth of the Nation鈥檚 Electric Vehicle Charging Network?
As car manufacturers shift production lines to electric vehicles (EVs), some project that more than 18 million EVs will be on the road by 2030.
The believes that the fastest, most efficient way to build out that charging network is to utilize existing businesses that are willing to invest their own money to serve EV drivers. The Charge Ahead Partnership is a coalition of businesses, organizations and individuals that share the common goal of efficiently and effectively developing a charging network for EVs across the United States.
Jay Smith, executive director of the Charge Ahead Partnership, and Tiffany Wlazlowksi Neuman, vice president, public affairs at NATSO, join the podcast to discuss the changes needed in energy policy so that the truckstop and travel center industry can implement EV charging stations and sell electricity in a way that is profitable.
